I met Mrs Stokes through my work with Home Instead. However, after leaving, I continued to pop in to say hello, sing a few of those little ditties and reminisce over Northumberland and the stories of growing up in Bamburgh as I have family who still leave near there. She was sometimes a little down when I visited as we know how much she missed Frank, but it was so lovely to see her smiling when I left and feeling much brighter. We both had interests in the Vulcan and the Flying Scotsman too, so there was always plenty to chat about. Well, I don't know about her feeling brighter when I left, but I certainly felt much brighter when I left. Mrs Stokes, you will be dearly missed and thank you for the chats, songs, laughs and cups of tea. Laurena x
